October 2010 actually had two separate mission trips. The first group of seven handed out clothing, underwear, and suncreen for the albino children, coffee for Sikit, spent lots of time with the children, and even painted the interior of the children's house. Brightly colored ABC's and 123's were painted everywhere. The children use their wall now as a learning tool. This group also took the children to the beach where they had a karate lesson, had movie night complete with popcorn, and checked on the housing project. A few trips to market to purchase silverware, pots and pans, and food for the children turned out to be very interesting!
The second group of five built bunk beds and storage lockers for the children. They also installed solar lights so the children are no longer in the dark. They distributed housewarming buckets and bibles to the families receiving the new houses, and were able to celebrate service at the housing project with the families. A door was built for Sikit's house. The improvements to the children's living quarters are amazing!
God’s blessings, and please keep Haiti in your prayers
